Van Serai has 4 double and 2 single rooms - all with attached bathrooms.
These are on 2 floors.
We equip all rooms with room heaters. Please let us know if you require hot water bags, extra blankets or pillows.
Please note there is no room service as the dining area is easily accessible. Should you require room service, please inform us in advance.
For any communication, WhatsApp us or call us using your mobile phone.
We advise you to take care of your valuables. If there is something you would like to keep safe, our manager will be happy to assist you. We do not take responsibility for any of your losses.
Please speak softly as your voice is carried to other rooms due to the quiet environment. Be sensitive to refrain from loud noise, volume, and discussions.
The lodge is in a semi-wilderness surrounded by deodar trees. Therefore, a variety of animals visit it. Maintaining low noise levels and making use of minimum electricity will ensure that we don't disturb them. There are no televisions in the rooms and we are sure you won't miss it much with all the jungle sounds and action nearby. The sound carries far in a jungle environment and since we cater to wildlife lovers who go to bed early; we have deliberately not installed TVs in the rooms.
To get hot water from the tap/shower, please turn the tap to the left and leave the water running for a short while (preferably in the bucket, for reuse). When the hot water starts, adjust it to suit the temperature.
Water is a valuable resource and even more precious because of its location, we try to minimize wastage as much as possible. If your bath towels need to be washed every day, we request you to leave them in the basket or floor in the washroom, otherwise, we will have them changed as per schedule. This really helps us to save water.
PLEASE inform the staff if you need housekeeping.
Housekeeping/cleaning services are available daily. We change your towels and bed sheets every two days, but if you feel they do not need replacing, please leave them hanging on your towel rack. We try to use as little water and soap as possible.
There are electric kettles for tea and coffee. Please do not use it for anything other than boiling water.
Separate accommodation is available for maids. The accommodation will be charged for.
We urge you to not smoke in and around the lodge, inside the rooms, and in the dining areas.
If there are wild animals in the surroundings, the village dogs may bark at night, causing disturbed sleep.
