The Lodge comprises 6 rooms with open verandahs, overlooking the greenery of the hills and each room has a Kumaoni feel to it. The architecture is inspired by the local Kumaoni houses to make our guests feel more in touch with the local way of living.

We have five large rooms, all with modern en-suite facilities like hot and cold running water, fresh towels, toiletries, housekeeping, room service, etc. Van Serai is big enough to accommodate a large group yet small enough to have the personal touch of a home-stay or a boutique hotel.

Two of the double rooms are with attics that can comfortably double up as a sleeping area for two more people, additionally. Decorated with handpicked artifacts and furnishings, every room has its own unique character and look. The intricately carved Kumaoni wooden doors and windows make a perfect frame for the beautiful scenery of the temple, forest or the rivulet outside.

Guests can unwind on the terrace of Van Serai, soaking in the morning sun with a hot cup of freshly brewed coffee or tea and their favorite book. Gazing into the Deodar forest, one can spot birds that melodiously chirp in the area.

Meals are served in the beautiful dining room encased with glass on one side through which you can get an unparalleled view of the forest and snow-capped mountain peaks.
